I rarely write reviews out of frustration, but after giving this café three genuine opportunities to earn my loyalty, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. My very first visit showed real promise. The Vietnamese coffee? Genuinely excellent — well-balanced, bold, and exactly what you’d hope for. I’ll give credit where it’s due. Unfortunately, the chicken pesto panini that accompanied it told a very different story. It was disappointing at best, and I chalked it up to an off day. I returned a second time, optimistic and willing to give them another shot. I ordered another panini. This time, I didn’t just leave underwhelmed — I left feeling genuinely unwell afterward. That alone should have been my final visit. But I came back a third time — because the coffee had kept a small flame of hope alive. That flame is now completely extinguished. I placed an order through Uber Eats for a strawberry matcha with cold foam (listed as “cloud” on their menu). The app clearly displayed the drink with cold foam. Very disappointing atmosphere. The place felt extremely loud and chaotic. Music was playing so loudly that it was hard to relax or even talk normally. Staff were also shouting across the space, which made everything feel stressful and disorganized. Could not enjoy the experience because of the noise level. We waited our 2 drinks too long.

Elevated breakfast sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Nice. Small. Outdoor tables. Self-seating, can be tricky for a group to sit together. Street parking with meters cost 2-4 dollars.

Stopped by Republik Coffee Burbank around 5 PM. The vibe is genuinely nice — good indoor and outdoor seating, pleasant atmosphere. I’d actually tried their Pasadena location before and the coffee was great, so I had decent expectations. The coffee here was solid too, but afterward my stomach was pretty off, which I’ve never experienced at other coffee shops — might be the milk they use. On top of that, by 5 PM the pastries looked like they’d been sitting out all day, and breakfast was long gone, so food-wise there was nothing worth getting. Good spot for the ambiance, but the stomach issue alone would make me think twice before coming back.

I visited Republik Coffee and had a mixed experience. One thing to note — their kitchen only operates until 3 PM, which is a bit limiting if you come later in the day. The pastries were really good, fresh and tasty. As for the coffee, it was a bit too sweet for my taste — especially the pistachio latte. Next time, I would definitely ask for less sweetness. Overall, a nice spot, but with a few things to keep in mind depending on your preferences.
